RAFFLES MILANO presents DOVE VA IL DESIGN?

In the past decades Design extended enormously its area of influence: from product to services and starting from them, the adoption of Design Thinking in the worlds of management and companies management, especially when it comes to the particularly innovative ones. The extension of Design ( in the more generic sense) has to do - in our opinion- with the adoption of its method in different fields, in two fundamental modalities. The first one is the holistic vision, from which stem all the analysis of the context preparatory of the first project hypothesis, the second is the continuous comparison between the hypothesis and the satisfaction of the instances requested by the client. In this sense it isn’t a risk to affirm that, although the method of design doesn’t aim for universal, sure and repeatable answers, it is flexible and efficient when it come to approach fields very different from one another through the lens ( also managerial) of democratic participation of all the parts involved in the best solution (the project) to simple and complex topics. In this sense Design and its methodology will conquer increasingly broader areas that are going to surprise even the designers themselves! The exhibition at Raffles Milano’s venue is an extension of the exhibit at Salone Satellite. An installation in which self-supporting structures, similar to stylized trees, function as a support to create an ideal forest of projects, that explore the possibilities of design through the method of design.
