Birò - l'Altro Elettrico “moving” design tra le vie di Milano

Birò L’Altro Elettrico is an itinerant installation promoted by Estrima spa, an Italian company active in the micro mobility field and established in Pordenone in 2008. The project develops from the collaboration with the Fashion and Design Institute Raffles Milano with the intent of value young contemporary creativity. The students, in fact, will be involved in the customization of a number of Birò with graphics realized ad hoc: a celebration of made in Italy and of creativity through innovative product design. Birò, is a small electric vehicle with four wheels. It has a footprint of a little less than 2 m2, as it is 1107 mm wide and 1794 mm long. It can be parked, because of its dimensions, in the motorcycles parking spaces, characteristic that allows to modify the picture of streets and squares as it changes, radically, the occupation of public soil by four wheeled vehicles. Birò partners with Raffles Milan to underline the challenges of the mobility of the future: “shared” | “electric” | “micro”. The project winner, ideated by Andrea Bolzan and Luciano Rodolfi, stems from the concept that Birò can be a tool used to explore not only the city, but also the people that inhabit it. The district of Porta Venezia is characterized by a rich cultural and social melting pot. The meeting of revolutionary design and the vehicles Birò, the eclectic soul of the district and the creativity of the students can be summued up in the concept of being who you are without fear of showing it.
