The Piscina, inaugurated in 1934, is one of the main examples of rationalist architecture dedicated to sport in Milan. The large covered pool and monumental spaces still make it an iconic location in the city today.
The underground section consists of a large service area with changing rooms and showers, characterized by basic tile-covered rooms, low corridors, and a functional atmosphere typical of historic sports facilities. The spaces, devoid of natural light, retain an authentic and lived-in aesthetic, with a strong architectural character linked to the period of construction of the structure.
